My life in a nut shell

I love to read. Most of my friends don't recognize me without a book in my hand and a back up book in my voluminous purse. But not always, as a child i struggled with dyslexia. it wasn't until 5th grad in Miss Westels class reading Scott Odell's Island of the blue dolphin that i realized books were gate ways into other worlds. I have often dreamed about being a righter, some days, after reading something truly horrible I'm even hopeful of that dream coming true. at least Ive taken the first step. I am thirty and doing fine with that. i will let you know if i have that mid-life crisis at fifty. I have been married to a wonderful man who has opened the world to me and lets me be just exactly who i am for the last 6 years. We are currently fostering two cats and we have four fish. Ever notice people who don't have kids talk about there pets? As a middle child i was properly strange. if your not the first to do something or the last then be memorable in the middle. I enjoy mind-numbing boring receptive jobs. it allows the creative side of my brain to wander without my body and other parts of my brain getting in the way. Also its something i can become a perfectionist at. Let me tell you i am a pro at dishes, laundry and data processing. i get it right every time =0) I joined this group mainly to keep some of my righting skills sharp and to interact with other authors as well as keep in touch with a friend who is moving very far away who shall not be named Ellie. I look forward to reading and creating with you all. ~ L.
